Breeding methodology for exploitation of heterosis in wheat alysis of the wheat/Fusarium pathosystem for healthy food and feed product development (ZUCHTWERT)

The goal of this project is to lay the basics for hybrid wheat breeding methodology in order to systematically exploit heterosis. The most relevant point is the establishment of heterotic groups with a high combining ability. Within the framework of the ZUCHTWERT project, partners from academia and industry with a worldwide unique expertise in hybrid wheat breeding will intensively cooperate.
